Role Overview

We are looking for a Manual QA Tester with practical knowledge of software testing and a strong understanding of Payment Gateway or Banking applications. This is a full-time remote position open to candidates across India. The ideal candidate should understand financial workflows, transaction validation, and quality assurance processes to ensure reliable and secure software releases.

As a Manual QA Tester, you will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to validate application functionality, identify defects, and improve software quality. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, documenting issues, and supporting release cycles while maintaining high testing standards. Candidates with experience in financial applications, payment processing, or banking systems will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate payment workflows including authorization, capture, refunds, settlements, chargebacks, and reconciliation.
• Test banking modules such as fund transfers, KYC processes, account management, and transaction processing.
• Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases and document results accurately.
• Identify, report, and track defects using Jira or similar bug-tracking tools.
• Perform API testing using Postman.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support production deployments with post-release validation and quality checks.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Manual Testing concepts.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.
• Experience with Payment Gateway, Banking, or FinTech applications is preferred.
• Familiarity with payment platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, or similar solutions is an advantage.
• Experience creating test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Postman.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deadlines effectively.
