We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our expanding security operations team. In this position, you will be the first line of defense, responsible for monitoring network traffic, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. You will work closely with our IT and cloud engineering teams to ensure that our data architecture remains resilient against unauthorized access. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard security tools, threat intelligence, and risk mitigation strategies in a high-stakes enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor internal networks and systems for suspicious activities or potential security breaches.
Analyze security logs and alerts from firewalls, SIEM tools, and intrusion detection systems.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weak points in our digital infrastructure.
Assist in the development and implementation of organizational security policies and incident response protocols.
Stay informed about the latest cyber threats, malware trends, and industry-specific attack vectors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to patch software vulnerabilities and harden system configurations.
Help perform digital forensics and root-cause analysis following any detected security anomalies.
Participate in security awareness training sessions for internal staff to reduce social engineering risks.
Maintain documentation regarding compliance standards and security incident reporting.
Support the maintenance of access control measures and identity management systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, or a related engineering field.
Foundational understanding of network security, protocols, and infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
Knowledge of operating system security for Linux and Windows environments.
Familiarity with security concepts like encryption, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
Basic understanding of common security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls).
Ability to read and interpret log data and identify patterns of malicious intent.
Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting security incidents.
A proactive mindset toward continuous learning and keeping up with the rapid pace of the security industry.
Basic scripting skills in Python or Bash are a plus.
